VIDEO: Car in ravine after crash with light pole on northbound Route 53 north of Algonquin Road.
Schaumburg firefighter/paramedics and Illinois State Police responded about 3:25 a.m. Sunday to a report of a car in the ravine with a light pole on the car close to the northbound ramp entrance from Algonquin Road. A Good Samaritan got off the road and checked inside the sedan to see if a driver or any other passengers were inside the vehicle. The Good Samaritan updated 911 with the crash information.
Apparently only one driver was in the vehicle and no injuries or only minor injuries occurred. All Schaumburg firefighter/paramedic crews on an expressway pin-in response returned to quarters.
