Neighborhood Pantry: Scene of armed robbery Friday night.
Schaumburg police responded about 10:38 p.m. Friday to a report of an armed robbery at the Neighborhood Pantry, 1124 South Springinsguth Road. Police received a report that a man pulled a knife on the store clerk.
The offender was described as a male/white 5’10” 160 LBS, wearing blue jeans, a black jacket, a white scarf across his face and a black cap. He was reported to have fled behind the store. The offender carried a folding knife and took an unknown amount of cash from the drawer. He ran north out the door around to the back of the building.
A police K-9 unit tracked a scent toward Star Foods. No word on police contact with any suspects. Schaumburg police are investigating.
