Police activity after an assault/armed robbery near 7-ELEVEN in the 1700 block of West Dempster Road, Mount Prospect. Mount Prospect and Arlington Heights police were searching a wide area near Dempster and Algonquin Road.
Police received a report that four male/Hispanic gang members armed with knives, and one armed with a handgun. Police were concentrating a search toward Lake Park Apartments and northwest of the crime scene.
The victim did not appear to be seriously injured.
