Cooper, a chihuahua-whippet mix missing for two years from the Baetge family home in Sacramento, has turned up safe at a clinic in Florida. Cooper is micro-chipped and the family has no idea how he got to Florida.
One day in October 2009, one of the gardeners at the Baetge home didn’t close the gate and Cooper the Chihuahua-Whippet mix from Sacramento started a trek that ended up two years later at a veterinary clinic in Florida. Well, actually nobody knows how he got there.
Cooper was found wet and shivering on September 22, 2011 by two women in Brandon, Florida, following a storm. The woman took the dog to a vet, where the Cooper’s identity was discovered after he was scanned for a Home Again computer chip (read the reviews on Amazon below).
