Dog Rescued at House Fire on Delphia Court, Elk Grove Village

Elk Grove Village police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 10:03 p.m. Thursday to a house fire in the 700 block of Delphia Court. Police arrived first and reported a front porch on fire. Firefighters arrived an determined all people were evacuated from the home. While they worked on the front porch it was learned that a dog was still. Firefighters grabbed a thermal image camera and searched for the dog. The dog was rescued from the house about 10:15 p.m.

Firefighters pulled the ceiling in a front room and discovered fire in the ceiling and attic. Fire was also present behind the wall near the front door.

The fire was reported out at about 10:28 p.m. Thursday. No injuries reported.
