Eight people were killed and one critically wounded Wednesday in a shooting at a hair salon in a normally sedate Southern California beach community, authorities said.
Seal Beach police reported they arrested a man in a white pick-up truck at a traffic stop about one half-mile from the shooting scene and seized multiple weapons. The suspect is believed to be the husband of an employee at the salon.
Victims were down throughout the salon known as Salon Meritage, in the 500 block of Pacific Coast Highway, Seal Beach. the death toll originally at six, rose to eight Wednesday night.
