Schaumburg police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:15 PM to a vehicle versus pedestrian incident in the 800 block of S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. Witnesses reported possible serious injuries to a male pedestrian that was down near the Taco Bell in Schaumburg in the southbound lanes of Roselle Road.
Firefighter/paramedics quickly transported the victim with extra personnel for advanced life support to Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village. The victim was pronounced dead at about 2:00 p.m.
The victim was originally reported to be about 19-years-old, but was later identified as being 30-years-old. The man’s identity has not been released, and is expected to be released once family members are notified. Police originally found no identification available for the victim, and were working overnight to obtain identification.
