Arlington Heights firefighter/paramedics, Elk Grove Township firefighter/paramedics and the Illinois State Police responded about 7:11 a.m. Tuesday to a car fire on eastbound Interstate 90 at Arlington Heights Road. Arlington Heights firefighters entered eastbound while Elk Grove Township firefighter/paramedics traveled westbound. Arlington Heights firefighters reported that the car fire was west of Arlington Heights Road in the westbound lanes of Interstate 90. A second Arlington Heights tower ladder crew and Elk Grove Township fire crew responded to the car fire. The fire was extinguished in a short time.
