Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:10 a.m. Thursday to a report of a gas meter knocked off of a building at Alexian Brothers Health Systems, 3040 West Salt Creek. Firefighters received a report that the building was being evacuated.
Nicor shut off the gas by 9:25 a.m.
