Hey Paul B. Readers!!
What in the heck is going on with food stores? I am certain that it hasn’t “gotten past you all” that food stores have replaced all the gosh darn banks. Am I correct when I can honestly say that there are 15 different super-markets now that you can cruise down to when you are bored? I find it most relaxing (until I pay) to squeeze those casabas and taste the samples of everything from salads to inexpensive California wines. All this while a pianist is serenading me with the styling’s of Rodgers and Hammerstein originals.
I could spend an hour there and walk out with five items; I have willpower, no? It is just so enjoyable to explore new products, packaging, and pricing to see how the industry has just exploded over the past few years. If you cannot find healthy and “fun” foods that will offer you a new and fresh opportunity, then you need to find another store, really. I find myself purchasing healthier foods when I am watching a buck. This is most likely the reason that the new and improved food stores have now replaced the corner banks of yesteryear–that’s right—Nobody has any “dough” left for the banks as I see it. But a man has to eat, right? Bon Appetite, yawl!
Here is a short list of some new food emporiums — Mariano’s Fresh Market, Fresh Farms (Niles), Sunset Foods, Whole Foods, Harvest Fresh, Caputo’s, Dominick’s and just for u, Jewel-Osco, and Oven Fresh. You can’t beat Sams on weekends for samples!
