Multi-Grammy winning producer, Quincy Jones reminisces on his sixty year career ahead of an all-star celebration concert at the Hollywood Bowl.
Quincy Jones was born in Chicago and discovered music in grade school at Raymond Elementary School on Chicago’s South Side where he took up the trumpet. When he was 10, his family moved to Bremerton, Washington and he attended Seattle’s Garfield High School. It was in Seattle that Jones first met a 17-year-old Ray Charles.
Jones run of albums run from 1956 to 2010. His music has been in soundtracks of about 24 major motion pictures.
