A man found dead by three fishermen in a weed bed in Duck Lake about 3:00 p.m. Sunday was reported missing and endangered 24 hours earlier. The missing man, subject of a report filed by the Fox Lake Police Department has been identified as Vladimir Taraday, 65. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday afternoon. Preliminary cause of death is drowning.
The Fox Lake Fire Protection District recovered Taraday’s body from Duck Lake and brought it to shore, where it was turned over to the Lake County Coroner’s Office.
Fox Lake police and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the death.
