Arlington Heights police received a report about 2:30 p.m. of burglary to two vehicles in the 900 block of South Burton. Police received a report that a witness saw a vehicle interior light on . He thought the vehicle burglaries might have occurred within the previous 15 minutes.
Police immediately responded and spotted two youths running from a distance in the area of Belmont and Orchard. They were possibly hiding in between house or in backyards. From a distance police could only tell that at least one of the suspects was wearing a light shirt.
Suspects were also spotted on Fairview, just west of Belmont Avenue, and hiding near the southwest corner of Belmont Avenue and Fairview.
A K-9 search was also underway. As of 3:00 a.m. no suspects were apprehended.
