Rolling Meadows police were met by a man with a laceration of the hand in the rear parking lot of the Rolling Meadows Police Department about 2:15 a.m. Wednesday. The man reported to police that he had been stabbed at Northwest Recovery, 4000 Industrial Avenue, Rolling Meadows.
Paramedics were called to the scene — no word on whether the victim was transported to Northwest Community Hospital.
Elk Grove Village police were called to assist Rolling Meadows police in locating a male suspect at his workplace. Elk Grove police had the suspect and his vehicle in custody at about 3:00 a.m. Wednesday. Rolling Meadows police responded to Elk Grove Village to pickup the suspect, who was transported to Rolling Meadows Police Department Headquarters. The suspect was charged with aggravated battery.
