Radar for northeast Illinois indicates a large thunderstorm image with bowing indicating high winds approaching Rockford at about 6:50 a.m. CDT Monday. Storms are expected in Arlington Heights between 7:45 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Monday. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for Rockford at 6:48 a.m. and was listed effective until 7:15 a.m.
The Convective Outlook for the United States indicates a probability for tornadoes in south and central Minnesota.

NORTHWESTERN ILLINOIS AT 70 MPH. A PORTION OF THIS LINE OF STORMS WAS SEVERE. THE STRONGEST STORMS WILL AFFECT PORTIONS OF WESTERN OGLE AND WINNEBAGO COUNTIES BY 7 AM CDT. WHILE THE STRONGEST STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE ALONG THE ILLINOIS WISCONSIN STATE
