Arlington Heights police have released information about a residential burglary in the 1800 block of North Windsor Drive that was reported yesterday about 2:40 p.m.
An offender or offenders forced open a rear sliding glass door and ransacked several rooms, taking five handguns valued about $2,500 and $10,000 cash. Several rifles were found on the ground outside the residence when the resident arrived home. The rifles were stored in an upstairs office. Apparently the the burglary or burglars were interrupted when the resident returned home.
