Arlington Heights police responded about 12:20 a.m. Friday to a report of a burglar alarm in the 700 block of East Dundee Road at Hair for You. Police received a report from the alarm system that glass in the front was detected broken.
Bufffalo Grove police arrived within three minutes and reported a broken window with a male/white subject walking southbound on Carriageway. The subject was investigated but not believed to be involved in the burglary.
Buffalo Grove police transported one male/juvenile in custody to Buffalo Grove Police Department headquarters about 1:00 a.m. Friday. No confirmation if he was suspected to be connected to the burglary or if he was detained for another reason.
A board-up service was called to secure the front of the salon.
