Firefighters from several districts responded about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday to an attached garage fire at 16178 West Aptakisic Road in Prairie View. Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection, Long Grove Fire Protection District and Buffalo Grove Fire Department firefighters extinguished an attached garage fire within 15 minutes.
Firefighters were still extinguishing hot spots about 4:50 p.m. Wednesday.
Lake Zurich, Countryside, and Libertyville firefighters also assisted at the scene. Buffalo Grove police assisted Lincolnshire police at the scene.
Firefighters received a false report that a person was trapped in the garage during the fire. Firefighters confirmed the report was false and searched the garage carefully. No victims of the fire reported.
