Buffalo Grove firefighter/paramedics and police responded about 8:20 p.m. Thursday to a semi-trailer truck fire in the 1200 block of East Busch Parkway at Fall Line Motor Sports. Firefighters arrived and reported smoke showing from a semi-trailer that was disconnected from the cab. Firefighters reported having difficulty getting people to clear the area near the truck — apparently they were trying to extinguish the fire. Police were called to assist with evacuating and clearing the crowd.
The fire in the semi-trailer was declared extinguished at about 8:40 p.m. Thursday.
Traffic in the area of Barclay and Busch Parkway was blocked near the fire scene.
