Buffalo Grove police received a report about 12:50 a.m. Thursday of a theft from an outdoor retail plant display at Jewel-Osco, 79 North McHenry Road. Police received a report of a theft of two large plants from an outdoor retail display. License plate information and a vehicle description were relayed to the police. The offender description was not available. The vehicle was possibly a black 1999 Olds 4-door. Buffalo Grove police are investigating.
