Arlington Heights police responded about 2:50 p.m. Tuesday to report of a robbery at the LA TAN, 4200 North Arlington Heights Road. Police received a report that two female offenders took a wallet and tried to get into the cash drawer at the LA TAN. The women fled in a maroon Chevrolet Jeep Cherokee missing a rear bumper, and were reported to be last seen heading southbound on Arlington Heights Road.
The females were described as (1) female/white about 30 years-old, skinny, 5’8″ 120 LBS with black hair tied back, wearing a black sweater; (2) female/white in her late 20’s, 5’6″ with a skinny build, very pale, wearing very red lipstick.
Apparently the same subjects attempted a theft at a nail salon in the 0-99 block of East Prospect Avenue about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday. One of the females was detained against her will and another fled. One of the offenders had attempted to steal a purse. One of the offenders fled in a Chevrolet Trailblazer, which was described as missing its back bumper.
The second offender was arrested by Mount Prospect police a short time later. Arlington Heights police arrived on the scene in Mount Prospect, and after further investigation, took both subjects into custody. Both females were transported to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters.
