Video tour of the C-SPAN Digital Bus that was brand new when the video was published one year ago.
The C-SPAN Digital Bus is scheduled to visit the Mount Prospect Public Library from 9 a.m. – noon, Tuesday, June 7 as part of its national tour. Area residents are welcome to tour the bus and learn about C-SPAN’s public affairs content and programming. The digital media tour bus for C-SPAN will be in Mount Prospect on its one year anniversary.
The Digital Bus is designed to provide interactive, self-guided multimedia tours demonstrating C-SPAN’s programming via varied distribution platforms to all visitors, including:
• TV monitors to demonstrate the C-SPAN Networks in both standard and high definition.
• Computer kiosks to demonstrate C-SPAN’s many web offerings including the Video Library.
• Laptops and mobile application devices to demonstrate C-SPAN’s social media presence and radio offerings.
C-SPAN is an acronym for Cable-Satellite Public Affairs Network — an American cable television network that offers coverage of federal government proceedings and other public affairs programming. C-SPAN was launched on March 19, 1979.
C-SPAN is available on three television channels (C-SPAN, C-SPAN2 and C-SPAN3), one radio station and a group of websites that provide streaming media and archives of C-SPAN programs.
