Mount Prospect police responded about 5:15 a.m. Wednesday to a report of a stolen auto from a parking lot at Timber Lake Apartments, 1410 South Busse. Mount Prospect police put out an alert to area police departments.
The possible stolen vehicle is described as a 1998 silver Acura Integra two-door hatchback. An offender was driving away in the vehicle with the alarm sounding. The vehicle owner saw the offender drive away with the vehicle, and reported that the vehicle was ‘paid for’ so repossession is not expected to be an issue in the case.
The vehicle was located about 5:35 a.m. Unknown if the case involved a towing company error or if the vehicle was parked in a no parking zone.
