Train #606, scheduled to arrive Chicago at 7:02 a.m., is stopped at Mount Prospect due to mechanical problems. The duration of this delay is unknown. Passengers have detrained at Mount Prospect and will board train #608. Train #608, is scheduled to arrive Mount Prospect at 6:44 a.m. and arrive Chicago at 7:17 a.m. Train #608 will make additional stops at Des Plaines, Dee Road, Park Ridge and Edison Park. Metra will update this site as information becomes available. Update 6:31 a.m.
Route 83/Main Street was blocked. Emerson was open. Mount Prospect Fire Department responded to clean up a small oil spill where the train engine had stalled.
Train #612, scheduled to arrive Chicago at 7:37 a.m., coupled with Train #606 and shoved train #606 from Mount Prospect to Chicago. This train will not make any station stops enroute. The next inbound train making stops at Mount Prospect, Cumberland, Des Plaines, Park Ridge and Clybourn was Train #614. The next inbound train making stops at Dee Road, Edison Park, Norwood Park, Jefferson Park and Irving Park was Train #616. The next inbound train stopping at Gladstone Park was Train #624.
