Arlington Heights police responded about 9:05 p.m. Friday to a report of a hit-and-run crash at New Wilke Road and White Oak. The offending vehicle, described as a black Mercedes was last seen northbound on New Wilke Road. The black C-Class Mercedes was also described as leaving the scene with a flat tire and damage on the front driver’s side.
The Mercedes driver was then involved in a second crash at New Wilke and Kirchhoff Road. The Mercedes driver rear-ended another car in a second crash. There were three cars involved in the crash at New Wilke and Kirchhoff Road.
The black Mercedes C230 had heavy front end damage and needed a flatbed tow. The second car, an Infinity G35x, had rear-end damage that also required a flat-bed tow.
The driver of the Mercedes C230 was transported to Northwest Community and also charged with hit-and-run and DUI.
The vehicle in the first crash also required a tow. Police were gathering parts from the Mercedes at the scene of the first crash for evidence for the hit-and-run case fro crash #1.
