Arlington Heights police received a report that an offender was seen looking into the windows of a Black 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee before trying to open all four doors at Sunset Meadows Park, 700 South Dwyer Avenue. The vehicle owner was running along the path when she noticed what was happening at her car. The offender plus a second subject that was also running on the path entered a Brown SUV and left the area.
The crime attempt is reported to have occurred Tuesday, March 1st, 2011 at 2:00pm.
Offenders were described as (1) a male/black, 6’0″ thin build in his early 20s, wearing blue shorts and shirt.
(2) A male/black wearing tan coat looked into the vehicle.
