Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:25 p.m. Tuesday to a multiple vehicle crash with a rollover on northbound Route 53, just south of Rand Road. Rescuers and police shut down northbound Route 53 and reported no entrapment, but one person needed help getting out of a vehicle and was out of the vehicle by 4:35 p.m.
A second ambulance was called to the scene. At least two people transported to Northwest Community Hospital
Route 53 was reopened just after 4:45 p.m. Illinois State Police also responded and managed the crash scene investigation.
