$100,000 BOND FOR MAN SEEKING SEX FROM TEEN
Bond has been set at $100,000 for an Aurora man who arranged to have sex with an underage girl he met online, Cook County Sheriff Thomas J. Dart announced Thursday.
Joseph Pircon, 31, of the 6S block of Densmore Drive, has been charged with one count of indecent solicitation of a child.
Posing as a juvenile, an undercover officer with the Cook County Sheriff’s Police Child Exploitation Unit met Pircon in an AOL chatroom in December 2010. Pircon told the officer he was 31 years old, and she stated she was 13. Over the course of several months, the two exchanged messages in the chatroom, with Pircon initiating graphic sexual talk and requesting meetings. During one of those discussions, Pircon told the undercover that he wanted to meet her to give her a gift of lingerie.
In March 2011, Pircon arranged to meet the undercover officer at a fast food restaurant in Bridgeview, for the purpose of engaging in sexual activities. When Pircon arrived, driving his company’s car, the officer confirmed his identity, and a nearby surveillance and arrest team took him into custody.
The investigation revealed Pircon regularly sought to chat with underage girls in AOL chatrooms. During the course of the investigation, Pircon sent graphic messages to an undercover officer pretending to be two different 14 year old girls, using different screen aliases.
Pircon’s next court date is April 15th in Maywood.
