Armed Robbery at Burger King on Elmhurst south of Dempster in Des Plaines.
Des Plaines Police Department notified area police departments just before 1:00 a.m. CST Sunday of an armed robbery that ‘just occurred’ at the Des Plaines Burger King, Elmhurst and Dempster.
The offender is described as a male/black, 5’7″ large build, age late teens to early 20’s, wearing a black hat, black shirt, and black baggy jeans. A 9mm semi-automatic handgun was possibly displayed.
The offender and a passenger left in a green Jeep Wrangler.
Taken was cash and cell phones.
