Arlington Heights police received a report about 6:45 PM Tuesday of retail theft at Jewel-Osco, 1860 South Arlington Heights Road. Police received a report that an adult female shoplifter was detained by store security, and that the the adult female was being cooperative. Arlington Heights police are investigating. Police met with the offender, but there was no word on whether the offender was arrested or not.
