Hi Ask Paul B Sports Fans,
It’s 3:30 on Super Bowl Sunday, and I have news for you—I am SO NOT PUMPED—I have to wonder if I have a pulse or not. I have been reading about the riots in Egypt (globalconflictmaps.com/egypt), the ridiculous stories surrounding THE STORM of Chicago, and the struggling economy here, and I am pooped. My energy level is low, as I have shoveled my driveway numerous times this week, that I have ZERO ENERGY to get pumped for this SUPER BOWL. I am invited to several parties, both which I have promised to attend (one half at each party.) After reading about the drubbing that Anderson Cooper took over in Egypt, and the news about the pregnant Mom, who walked through two blocks of knee deep snow to an awaiting ambulance, who cares about the SB?
I know I sound like a wimpy, he/she who doesn’t have one iota of sports DNA in his system, but I bet there are many out there just like me. Come on now, stand up and be counted. Aren’t there a few thousand of you that are calmly waiting for the Black Eyed Peas, and the several “interesting” new two million dollar commercials? Well, darn it, I am one of those casual SB viewers. I really have no favorite in the game, and really don’t care about Ben’s off the field behavior. I don’t depend on athletes to be my kids role models. I will, however, tell you that I will definitely watch the game, and hope that an amazing play will be the “difference maker” so that I can
discuss it with the many so called “fans” that will be awaiting this unbelievable play that will be forever immortalized in time. Enjoy the game, and don’t worry if your friends see you doze off or spend much of the game hitting on some attractive “hottie.” Just don’t miss those commercials and Fergies low cut top, THAT’S the real game!
