Stranger Parks His Van on Wrong Driveway on Douglas Ave, Gets Arrested DUI

Arlington Heights police arrested a DUI driver about 7:50 PM Thursday after a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in a driveway in the 2600 block of North Douglas Avenue Police responded to a report that there was a strange van parked in a resident’s driveway. The driver got out of the van and walked toward the garage. The resident thought the man was in the garage.

When police arrived, the man was not in the garage; but police discovered he was an intoxicated driver at the scene. The man, about 40 years-old, was arrested for DUI. The driver was transported in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. The driver’s maroon Plymouth Voyager was towed to a police holding area.
