Chicago Police and Fire Department paramedics responded about 1:39 a.m. to a shooting that occurred at Hawk’s Motorcycle Club — a motorcycle club located in the 100 block of West 75th Street in the West Chatham neighborhood.
Two men were killed and five people, including two women, were wounded in a shooting at a South Side club early this morning. Of the survivors, two victims were transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, two were transported to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, and one was transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. The victims were all in serious to critical condition.
The two men that were killed were Emmitt Suddoth, 38, of the 9500 block of South Union Avenue, and a man in his 20’s whose identity has not been released was dead at the scene. Both were shot at 149 W. 75th St. Suddoth was pronounced dead at 2:28 a.m. at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
The shooting resulted from an argument in the club.
Calumet area detectives were talking to a “person of interest” in the case. No charges have been filed as of this afternoon.
