Intentional or Accidental PIT maneuver?
A car crossing an intersection did a PIT maneuver at the intersection. It is unknown if the maneuver was intentional or accidental.
A silver Dodge Charger with black tinted windows was pursued by police Friday afternoon on I-290, Route 53, I-90, US 20, Genoa Rd and numerous side streets in the Rockford area. The driver is wanted for aggravated fleeing and eluding. The driver is armed with a handgun and/or shotgun. The driver is also wanted for aggravated assault and unlawful use of a weapon by Forest Park police.
At this point, no information available when Chopper 7HD started the coverage of the pursuit.
The chase from I-290, to northbound Route 53, to I-90 to Rockford was amazing enough. Then the timing of the foot pursuit shows precision police work with the police squads and the tackling police officer.
