Driver Reported By Another Motorist Weaving, Stopping at Green Lights; Arrested DUI

Arlington Heights police responded about 6:05 AM Saturday to a report of a possible DUI driver westbound Palatine Road at Wheeling Road. A concerned citizen called in a reckless driver, possible DUI driver at westbound Palatine Road at Wheeling Road. The reckless driver in a white Honda was reported to be speeding, weaving, stopping at green lights, and blowing red lilghts. The driver also appeared to be asleep at the wheel at times.

Arlington Heights police caught up with the vehicle at Palatine Road and Arlington Heights Road about 6:20 a.m.

The driver was arrested DUI, and the driver’s vehicle was towed to a police holding area.
