A total of 3.5 inches of new snow fell from Tuesday just before 1:45 a.m. until about 6:45 p.m. in Arlington Heights. Snow was dry and powdery — not good packing snow. Snow cover at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday was 3.5 inches in Arlington Heights. Accumulation on pavement was also 3.5 inches of snow.
A Winter Weather Advisory ended at 8:00 p.m. Snow indicated by radar has left the area, but Lake Effect Snow is still indicated by radar over northwest Indiana.
