The son of a police detective opened fire at a Nebraska high school of about 2100 students Wednesday, fatally wounding the asstant principal, injuring the principal and forcing panicked students to take cover in a kitchen. The teen later killed himself.
Robert Butler Jr., 17, the son of a police detective, shot and killed Assistant Principal Vicki Kaspar, 58, at Millard South High School in Omaha, Nebraska Wednesday afternoon. He also shot Principal Curtis Case, 45, who was listed in stable condition at a hospital.
After the shooting, the teen shot himself to death in his car about one mile from the school, located on the west side of Omaha, Nebraska.
