The Winter Storm Watch that was issued to continue until midnight Sunday/Monday has been canceled for Chicagoland, apparently due to diminishing snow forecast. A Winter Weather Advisory was issued at 2:48 p.m. CST Sunday. Wind chill is still forecast to reach 20-25 below zero. Winds of 45 mph this afternoon are forecast to diminish to 30 mph by midnight.

AFTERNOON…HOWEVER STRONG NORTH WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO CAUSE
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW THROUGH THE EVENING. WINDS WILL
GRADUALLY DIMINISH OVERNIGHT…BUT FALLING TEMPERATURES WILL
RESULT IN DANGEROUSLY COLD WIND CHILLS OF 20 TO 25 BELOW ZERO OVER
NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS LATE TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING.

IN NORTHWEST INDIANA HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW AND STRONG NORTH WINDS
