Mount Prospect police and firefighters responded about 7:30 AM Monday to a report of a truck fire in the 200 block of West Rand Road near the Office Max store, Mount Prospect. Firefighters arriving on the scene reported smoke coming from the back of a garbage truck. The garbage load was dumped into the parking lot and firefighters extinguished the fire.
Prospect Heights firefighters assisted Mount Prospect firefighters.
