A bus driver working for the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District has quit after officials with the transit agency saw an online video of the driver running over a snowman in the middle of a street. Apparently, some pranksters put a snowman in the street, or discovered a snowman in the street and decided to get video of the effect on traffic at the location. At first a car stops and drives around the snowman, but then a bus appears to veer into an oncoming lane to deliberately hit the snowman.
The bus driver resigned after the video went public December 4, 2010.
The publishers of the video claim they did not build the snowman in the street.
