Bloomingdale police and firefighter/paramedics responded just after noon Monday to the 100 block of Springbrook Drive and later confirmed that William Schultz, 57, and his mother Marjoreie Schultz, 88, were found dead inside their home at the address. They apparently ingested something — possibly prescription medications — that caused their deaths. There were no signs of violent trauma to the bodies.
William Schultz lived in Carol Stream, but also lived with his mother when her caretaker was taking time off.
Police are awaiting an autopsy report and toxicology report.
This latest case marks the second serious domestic case in a month after a mother, Marci Webber, is accused of fatally cutting the neck of her 4-year-old daughter, Maggie on Wednesday, November 4, 2010.
