Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:45 AM Sunday to a report of a fight in progress in the north parking lot of Gatsby’s, 427 E. Rand Road. Police arrived and found one male victim unconscious and breathing with a head injury in the north parking lot of the bar.
Police learned that the offender that struck the victim was apparently wearing a green hat and a white hoodie with pin stripes. Police found a subject fitting that description in the parking lot of Pep Boys, just west of Gatsby’s. The subject was identified by witnesses at the scene as the offender that caused personal injury in the fight. The suspect was transported in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters.
One other suspect was also involved in shoving during the fight. That suspect was also arrested and transported in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters.
Police transported several witness for questioning and statements to Arlington Heights Police Headquarters and returned witnesses to Gatsby’s.
Gatsby’s is open until 3:00 a.m. on Saturday nights/Sunday mornings. Arlington Heights police are investigating. The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office was notified of the case. One victim was transported to Northwest Community Hospital.
