Criminal Damage to Vehicle Witnessed by Victim

Buffalo Grove police received a report Tuesday, November 23 that a man’s girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend smashed the windows of his car at 1:30 p.m. in the 300 Block of Town Place Circle. The boyfriend reported that he spotted his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend following him in a vehicle. Wanting to avoid a confrontation, the boyfriend pulled into a parking lot, parked his car and hid. The boyfriend reported that he saw the ex-boyfriend pull up, get out of his vehicle holding a tire iron, and began to smash the windows to the boyfriend’s car. The boyfriend was deciding whether he wanted to press charges.
