A Pennsylvania woman pulled out a handgun and threatened a fellow passenger during an argument onboard a public bus, but a third passenger risked his life breaking up the confrontation before it escalated further.

Police in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania released surveillance video of an armed woman pulling out a gun on board a SEPTA bus near the 69th Street Terminal in Upper Darby Thursday evening around 5:20 p.m.

Police say Cordelia Chisholm, 58, of Yeadon, bumped into a 22-year-old woman who was talking on her cell phone.

Chisholm becomes annoyed, and then moved to a seat further back on the bus. She continued to yell at the young woman on the phone.

Less than one minute elapsed, and then Cordelia Chisholm pulled out a loaded .38 revolver from her bag and confronted the woman on the phone. The two argued while Chisolm waved the handgun around, which put anyone on the bus at risk of a misfire.

Another passenger, Rasheen Bingham, 32, of Lansdale intervened — keeping his two young sons away from the confrontation.

Bingham broke up the fight, and got Chisolm off the bus. The police arrived, and arrested Cordelia Chisholm as she was walking away.

Investigators are calling Bingham a hero for helping another person in trouble.

Chisholm did not have the proper permit to carry a gun, and was held on $50,000 bail.
