Buffalo Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:05 p.m. Monday to a house fire in the 600 block of Thompson Boulevard. Police first on the scene reported a fire in the kitchen.
Traffic at Thompson Boulevard and Brandywine Lane, and Thomson Boulevard at Caren Drive was shut down for firefighting operations.
Firefighters knocked down the fire within minutes — 9:10 p.m.
