... #ad▼A privately-owned helicopter with two people onboard crashed just before 5:45 p.m. at Schaumburg Airport with no reports of injuries. The helicopter was only a few feet off of the ground when the tail rotor hit the ground.
Schaumburg police, the Illinois State Police and Schaumburg firefighter/paramedics responded to 905 W. Irving Park Rd. in Schaumburg just before 5:45 p.m. Monday.
The crash did not involve any fire or leaking fuel. The accident is under investigation.
