Niles Fire Department responded to a fire about 4:50 p.m. Thursday at the Office Depot, 8315 W. Golf Road in Niles. Firefighters arrived on the scene with smoke showing coming out of the Office Depot store.
Fire departments from Park Ridge, Des Plaines and others assisted Niles Fire Department for the working fire. Fire command reported a large rubbish pile fire in a building under construction/remodeling. The fire was ‘knocked’ about 5:15 p.m. Firefighters worked on the scene for an extended time to overhaul the materials that were burning.
