Neighborhood scene in front of Windsor Elementary School after Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed and rolled while hitting a parked BMW.
Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded just before 6:20 p.m. Monday to a crash in front of Windsor School on Windsor Drive, just north of Campbell Street. A woman apparently lost control of her Jeep Grand Cherokee and hit a parked BMW, and rolled the SUV while traveling northbound on Windsor Drive.
Police and firefighter/paramedics arrived to find the woman walking at the scene with the Jeep Grand Cherokee resting on its right side.
The woman received a minor laceration on her arm during the crash. She was not transported to the hospital. A police car shredded a right rear tire either at the scene or en route to the scene, but it was not involved in the accident. It was towed from the scene as the Jeep Grand Cherokee was towed from the scene.
Windsor Elementary School was not in session when the crash occurred.
There were three crashes on Windsor Drive Monday …
1. Windsor and Valley — a personal injury accident reported about 2:00 p.m.
2. Windsor and Suffield — head-on crash reported about 4:50 p.m.
3. Windsor in front of Windsor Elementary School reported about 6:20 p.m.
