Arlington Heights police received a report about 9:15 p.m. Thursday of a home invasion and armed robbery in the 100 block of North Donald Avenue. Three offenders reportedly ‘kicked the door in and took money’ at the residence. The victim reported that he and his girlfriend were tied up after the robbery. The crime is reported to have occurred just before 9:00 p.m.
The three offenders were described as a male/Hispanic, a male/white, and a female/Hispanic. One of the offenders was reported to be armed with a silver semi-automatic pistol. The weapon was pointed at the man who opened the door at the home. The armed offender then ordered the male occupant into the kitchen and threatened harm if he did not turn over guns and drugs. The man and woman were then tied up with plastic zip ties. One of the offenders kicked the male occupant of the home in the head.
Offender 1: The man with the handgun was described as white, about 30-years-old, 6’0″ 175 LBS with blond hair. He was wearing a yellow dress shirt and khaki pants.
Offender 2: A male/Hispanic, about 30-years-old, 5’8″ 210 LBS with black hair. He was wearing a blue flannel shirt.
Offender 3: A female/Hispanic, about 30-years-old, 5’6″ 170 LBS.
The offenders left with the following proceeds: semiautomatic handgun valued at $400, a laptop computer, a gold engagement ring, a cell phone valued at $300, $800 cash, and car keys.
Arlington Heights police are investigating the case. Previous burglaries were reported at the address recently.
