Chicago firefighters fought an extra alarm fire at 3434 West Armitage. Originally discovered as a fire on the first floor in the rear of the building, the fire spread on the first floor to cause the collapse of a rear porch. The fire also was an exposure risk to a building next door.
A Plan I EMS response also brought extra rescue ambulances with paramedics to the scene.
